Dear members of the Public Association “Energy Union”,

We would like to inform you that today a lengthy and lively open discussion was held at the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine regarding the revision of price caps in the electricity market.

According to the results of the discussion, the following price cap levels may be introduced as of 1 May 2026:

On the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) and Intraday Market:

  • Maximum price cap — 15,000 UAH/MWh (for all hours);
  • Minimum price cap — 10 UAH/MWh (for all hours).

On the Balancing Market:

  • Maximum price cap — 17,000 UAH/MWh (for all hours);
  • Minimum price cap — 0.01 UAH/MWh (for all hours).

This model was presented as the final proposal based on the results of today’s open discussion.

We emphasize: this is not yet a final decision. In the near future, the relevant draft resolution is expected to be submitted for official approval at a formal meeting of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine.
