On 15 May 2026, the Public Association “Energy Union”, represented by its head, Olha Tahiieva, held a working meeting with colleagues from Zakupivli.Pro, one of the largest procurement platforms within the Prozorro system, to discuss upcoming changes in the field of public procurement and their impact on the energy market.
During the discussion, the parties focused on the draft new Law on Public Procurement, which is currently awaiting consideration in the second reading by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
It was agreed that following the adoption of the Law, the Public Association “Energy Union”, together with representatives of Zakupivli.Pro, will organize a dedicated working meeting for electricity market participants covering:
- Key legislative changes;
- New procedures and approaches;
- Practical aspects of suppliers’ operations;
- Preparation for the transition to the new procurement rules.
The new Law is expected to enter into force approximately nine months after its adoption. Consequently, market participants may begin operating under the new procurement framework as early as 2027.
Representatives of Zakupivli.Pro confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation with the Public Association “Energy Union” and to assist in addressing practical questions raised by market participants.
