Public Association “Energy Union” informs that today it has sent official appeals to the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Taras Kachka, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and the Energy Community regarding practical challenges in the application of the CBAM mechanism to electricity exports from Ukraine.
The appeals emphasize the need to take into account force majeure circumstances caused by the war, the actual low-carbon structure of Ukraine’s generation mix, and the importance of avoiding unjustified barriers to Ukrainian electricity exports to the European Union.
Energy Union continues its systematic work to protect the interests of market participants and to promote the position of the Ukrainian energy sector at both national and international levels.
