Notice for electricity suppliers!
NPC “Ukrenergo” has published a draft of amendments to the Market Rules, approved by NEURC Resolution No. 307 of March 14, 2018, regarding the improvement of the mechanism for setting imbalance and balancing energy prices.
The draft proposes changes to the approach for calculating imbalance prices.
In this regard, electricity suppliers are asked to:
- carefully review the draft;
- conduct their own calculations;
- assess the potential consequences of implementing the proposed mechanism;
- prepare substantiated comments and proposals.
The Public Association “Energy Union” requests that positions and proposals be submitted by January 10 for consolidation.
On January 13, the Public Association “Energy Union” plans to hold a working meeting to discuss the analysis results and form a coordinated position.
We emphasize that participation in the discussion at the stage of preparing these amendments is key.
