PUBLIC ASSOCIATION “ENERGY UNION” has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Energy Traders Europe.
This is an important step towards strengthening professional cooperation between Ukrainian and European energy traders.
Today, the Ukrainian energy market operates under high-risk conditions — war, damaged infrastructure, and regulatory uncertainty. At the same time, market participants continue to ensure system stability, maintain electricity imports, and fulfil their contractual obligations.
In these conditions, the key priority is not only to maintain market functionality, but also to further develop and integrate the Ukrainian energy market into the European energy space.
The signed Memorandum creates a platform for:
— strengthening professional dialogue between Ukrainian and European traders
— exchanging practical market experience
— developing direct partnerships between companies
— jointly addressing актуальні regulatory and market issues
Barbara Maria Lempp, Chief Operating Officer of Energy Traders Europe, stated:
“We often say that the purpose of the energy sector is to keep the lights on and homes heated. In Ukraine, this is not an abstract idea, but a daily reality. This memorandum not only strengthens our cooperation, it is also a clear signal of our support for Ukraine and its energy sector in these challenging times.
We look forward to working with Energy Union to support a resilient and competitive European energy market.”
Olha Tahiieva, Head of PUBLIC ASSOCIATION “ENERGY UNION”, stated:
“We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and for the support you provide to our business in these challenging times for Ukraine. For us, this is not only a professional interaction, but also an important signal of trust, partnership, and a shared vision for the development of the energy market.
For Ukrainian energy traders, cooperation with European colleagues is of strategic importance. This partnership opens new opportunities for professional dialogue, exchange of practical experience, and deeper integration of the Ukrainian electricity market with the European energy market.”
Within the framework of this cooperation, Energy Traders Europe and PUBLIC ASSOCIATION “ENERGY UNION” will work together to support a resilient, transparent, and competitive European energy market.
